Ruler of Onderon more than 4,000 years before the Galactic Civil War, she was also known as the Dark Queen because she dabbled in the remnants of Sith magic introduced four centuries earlier by the Dark Jedi Freedon Nadd. She was able to call upon dark side forces to battle the Beast-Lords of Onderon. Her daughter, Galia, succeeded to the throne after Queen Amanoa's death. Amanoa was buried in a stone sarcophagus and eventually entombed on Onderon's closest moon, Dxun, near the body of Nadd.
