A Mon Calamari doctor and philanthropist, Akanseh fled the Imperial occupation of his homeworld, becoming a traveling healer aboard a small vessel with a fully stocked medical suite. He ran afoul of Moff Kentor Sarne in the Kathol sector, who imprisoned Akanseh and subverted his medical supplies into tools of interrogation. When the New Republic liberated Sarne's stronghold at Kal'Shebbol, Akanseh became the medical officer aboard the New Republic corvette FarStar. He kept his past as Sarne's reluctant interrogator a deep secret.
