EU欲哭无泪:天杀的卢卡斯……
For those just joining our SWCV coverage, George Lucas added fuel to the Clone Wars fire by introducing a new character for Season 3. He's from Asajj Ventress's home planet, he's the brother of Darth Maul. His name is Savage, and he'll surely be a thorn in Ventress's side as he begins training under Count Dooku.
The clip we saw at the George Lucas Main Event panel showed a hulking behemoth. He has gray skin, and the trademark horns in his head.
He was very tall- taller than Dooku, it looked like in the brief clip. His weapon was a staff as tall as him with a blade down the hilt. More description later in this panel when we see him again, and we'll have pictures for you soon too.
Savage (Pronounced suh-vahj) is coming as part of a FOUR episode Asajj-centric arc.
Ventress and Grievous are back, and Asajj particularly is really big in Season 3.
Filoni continued: She's fighting for respectability. Dooku keeps stringing her along, and she's like the third wheel that Sidious barely recognizes, but he's content with her cause right now she's just out there killing folks.
But if she gets strong enough to challenge or cause trouble for Sidious or Dooku, things could go really bad for her...
*hinting at something*
NEXT CLIP!
Ventress is injured, getting off a ship
Several female warriors drop from the skies, it's her home planet!
They go to attack her saying "We don't like strangers" and a chieftan woman comes and ays "Stop, she's one of us, take her to the village"
Ventress says "Mother" and drops into her arms.
The Night Witches of Dathomir
Collins Brought up this as a concept made for the trilogies, by Ian McCaig.
Filoni: Yeah, he made that design for the Mother character when they were developing Darth Maul, who is also from Dathomir.
Collins: So, when he starts talking about Dathomir.. how did that come about?
Filoni: George wanted to develop Ventress more, in the series. He wanted to have these witches involved and have her be a much stronger role in this series
He had some things in mind, like the blood red color for the planet.
We came up then with some other things, like the Electric Bow, which we all started calling the awesome bow.
Collins asked Aron about the development of the planet.
Aron: Dathomir was very important, this arc is really important casue we needed to feel like we were going someplace, and that witches lived there.
This smoke couldn't just sit there and be smoke, it has to be almost alive, and controlled by witches.
The Mother character is Mother Talzen, she's a "collective Mother" to the witches.
Collins: Theres' something unnatural about that character as you watch her. Can you talk about Dathomir and the witches as a culture. Are they force users, or what are they?
Filoni: It is an interesting case, according to George they're not necessarily Force Users, they might be something else.
When you think about the universe as a whole, the Force has probably manifested itself in very different ways all across the galaxies. THey have different powers than Sith or Jedi do though.
We really get into the balance of the Force this year in a very big, direct way. |
