Ikopi are fleet-footed ungulates native to the swamps and forests of Naboo. The sturdy-legged animals have golden coats of short fur, and grow a crown of twisting antlers.

Ikopi have short necks, but can nonetheless reach distant vegetation with a long, tube-like tongue. They also use the tongue as a straw to draw out water or nourishing nectar.
伊科狓脖子很短，但却能用长长的管状舌头吃到远处的植物。它们还把舌头当作吸管吸水或营养液。

When threatened, an ikopi is more likely to run than anything else. While their legs can serve them in swimming, they do not take to water easily and prefer to escape over land.

The ikopi design was inspired by a North African / Saharan gazelle, with a few giraffe-like characteristics thrown in.
