Moff Jerjerrod was the Imperial officer supervising the construction of the second Death Star high over the forest moon of Endor. Jerjerrod was in the unenviable position of reporting the Death Star's progress to taskmaster superiors. When the construction fell behind schedule, Emperor Palpatine dispatched Darth Vader as his emissary to snap Jerjerrod's crews into shape.

The use of Return of the Jedi archival footage in the Special Edition of The Empire Strikes Back means that Jerjerrod has a cameo in Episode V. When Vader's shuttle arrives aboard the Executor, it's Jerjerrod waiting to greet him, just as he does when Vader arrives aboard the second Death Star. For 1997's Super Star Destroyer hangar bay, the establishing shot was a digital matte painting. For 1983's Death Star hangar bay, ILM crafted a realistic traditional painting on glass.
